✈️ Summer planning made easy (packing lists, itineraries + travel hacks)

Hi Reader!

We’re officially at that point in the year where summer starts to feel very real - school winding down, calendars filling up, and everyone trying to figure out when and how they’re getting out of town.

So this week’s email is all about making travel feel less chaotic and a whole lot more organized.

I pulled together a few of my most helpful planning tools + travel posts so you can get ahead before summer really kicks in.

✈️ Start with your travel plan

If you’re planning any kind of trip this summer, start here:

A flat lay of printed travel planning pages including a schedule, budget planner, and activity log. The pages are accented with light blue headers and are scattered on a pink surface with colorful binder clips and Sharpie markers. A digital collage showcasing various travel organization spreadsheets. The templates feature a bright pink and teal color scheme and include an hourly planner, packing lists, a travel itinerary overview, a travel budget with charts, and an activity research log.
  • Family Vacation Planner - This is the one I always come back to for keeping everything in one place: schedules, packing, reservations, and all the little details that usually get scattered everywhere. {PIN}
  • Google Sheets Travel Itinerary - Perfect if you like having your trip mapped out day-by-day (and easily shareable with family). {PIN}

🧳 Packing made simple

Packing is where things usually fall apart for me - so having a system makes all the difference.

Two pages of a comprehensive cruise packing list printable featuring colorful, bubbly text headers. The lists include categories for important documents, clothes, electronics, miscellaneous items, and a dedicated section "for the kids." A specialized "Ultimate Disney Cruise Packing List" printable set against a red and blue gradient background. The checklist features Disney-specific categories like fun supplies (door magnets, fish extenders), themed clothing (pirate night costumes, Mickey ears), and a "don't bring" section.

🚢 Travel hacks that save sanity

Once you’ve got the basics down, these are the posts that make travel smoother:

A bright, sunny travel graphic with the text "OVER 50 CRUISE HACKS FOR FAMILIES" in teal. The background shows three large cruise ships docked in turquoise Caribbean water under a clear blue sky, with a "Full Post" call-to-action and the LambertsLately.com logo at the bottom. A vibrant vacation graphic featuring the text "OVER 50 MUST-KNOW DISNEY CRUISE TIPS & TRICKS." A hand is shown holding a tall, frozen tropical drink with whipped cream in front of a yellow cruise ship water slide. The bottom includes a "Full Post" link and the LambertsLately.com website logo.
  • Cruise Hacks - Little tips that make a big difference once you’re actually on the trip. {PIN}
  • Disney Cruise Hacks - Very specific, very helpful, and full of small things I wish I knew sooner. {PIN}

🚢 Travel tip

The biggest travel win is simple: don’t wait until the week before to get organized.

Even just printing your packing list and jotting down your itinerary now will make future-you so much happier when things get busy.

Hope this helps take a little stress out of your summer planning!
