👻 A few fun things to prep before Halloween

Hi Reader!

Halloween is officially close enough that I’m starting to think about all of those little things I want to do before October 31st - neighbor surprises, treat bags, party food, all of it.

And this is the sweet spot. We’re close enough to Halloween that it feels festive, but there’s still plenty of time to get a few things ready without the last-minute scramble.

Here are a few ideas to put on your list!

👻 Start with a little Halloween fun

Free You've Been Booed Printables (Editable Canva + PDFs) - Such a fun way to surprise neighbors or friends! Print the pages, put together a little basket of treats, leave it on a doorstep, and let the "booing" continue through the neighborhood.

🎃 Planning a Halloween party?

The food doesn’t have to be complicated! I’d go with a mix of one savory appetizer, a couple of easy grab-and-go sweets, and a dip everybody can snack on.

Pumpkin-shaped cheese ball coated in orange shredded cheese and served with crackers. Homemade Rice Krispie treats with marshmallow fluff cut into squares in a glass baking dish.
Stacked peanut butter cookie bars filled with chocolate chips. Creamy pumpkin fluff dip in a white bowl served with graham crackers and gingersnaps.
  • Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Ball - This one looks like it took way more work than it actually did. It’s a savory cheese ball shaped like a pumpkin, so it doubles as part of the Halloween table decor. {PIN}
  • Rice Krispie Treats with Marshmallow Fluff - A great party treat when you want something familiar and easy to serve. Using marshmallow fluff keeps these extra soft and gooey. {PIN}
  • Peanut Butter Cookie Bars - Thick, soft peanut butter bars loaded with chocolate chips. Slice them into smaller squares and you’ve got an easy dessert for a crowd. {PIN}
  • Pumpkin Dip with Cool Whip - This fluffy pumpkin dip only takes a few minutes to mix together. Add a tray of graham crackers, gingersnaps, pretzels, and apple slices and dessert is done. {PIN}

A little prep tip: If you’re hosting later this month, save the recipes you want now and print any Halloween pages ahead of time. Then, when party week gets busy, you’ve already made half the decisions!

🏈 Bonus tip for October weekends

Halloween season and football season are happening at the same time, so you might as well lean into both!

Free Printable Football Squares Template is an easy one to print for a Saturday watch party or Sunday get-together. Add it to the snack table and let everybody pick their squares before kickoff.
